· “Michael Paul Gibson seems to have the right stuff. He has an excellent baton technique and clearly is a master of the scores.”

· “Particularly effective was the main work of the evening, "Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98" by Johannes Brahms. Gibson brought the orchestra through this long and demanding work without missing a single dynamic shading or losing the beauty of a single melodic line.”

· ...Tchaikovsky 5th Symphony
“It is absolutely phenomenal what you are getting from such a small orchestra. It is really a great recording. The only conclusion I am able to come to is that man for man and woman for woman you have the best collection of musicians on the Peninsula.”

Ray Orrock, The Daily Review, Hayarad, CA
“I suspect (the Star Spangled Bonanza) was one of the two or three best chunks of entertainment being presented anywhere in the Bay Area that night. I know I’ve spent 35 bucks for a ticket to a show in San Francisco that was nowhere near as enjoyable as this one.”

Michael Paul Gibson
Music Director and Conductor

John Fetler, Gazette Telegraph, Colorado Springs
“The program concluded witht he Symphony in B Flat by Paul Hindemith. In this work we should give credit to the en-semble for clear delineation of the musical material, for a grasp of the rhythmic qualities which in lesser hands would not have come through, and for infusing an emotional quality, so that Hindemith does not sound any more as merely a logical construction, but as a musically intriguing work. .And that's saying a great deal for the performers.”
